Our stay at the Oza Inn was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Venice, Florida. It is a family owned business and well run. You can tell that the rooms had been renovated, very thing was clean and comfortable. The price was also very affordable for being in season. Also the pool was wonderful. Heated to 86 degrees it was perfect. You could tell the pool had been renovated also because the tiles were new and very clean.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the bathroom light and vent system was on the same switch.

This is a very clean and basic motel. The classic 1950's -60's design brought back memories of trips in my child hood. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small fridge. Microwave and coffee maker in each of our two rooms, which was handy. The grounds and pool were well kept. The linens were comfortable. Although situated right on a busy road I found the place to be quiet. The small heating/cooling unit worked well and there is a ceiling fan in each room. The free coffee in the morning was excellent but I wish there had been real cream instead of powder. Overall a very good value.
The rooms are small, with tile floors throughout. The bathrooms are very tight and there are no complimentary toiletries. It also lacks a bathtub and there is no convenient place to lay out grooming supplies near the bathroom sink. There were Hostess/Little Debbie type snack cakes available to go with the excellent coffee in the morning, better than nothing I suppose, but only just. All these are minor issues. My only real problem were the steel frame and spring bed frames which reminded me of the bunks I had in the Marines. The beds creaked and squeaked every time we turned over and were not nearly as comfortable as the beds in the chain Hotels we stayed in.

Family with children great for relaxing getaways
I gotta say, this place has a nice clean pool that was like a slice of heaven after my treatment appointments. The staff were fantastic, super accommodating. I asked for an extra towel and they were right there, didn't even bat an eye.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but given the comfort and amenities, I'd say it was worth it.

We had a last minute trip to Florida and found it difficult to find any rentals at this extremely busy time. We found space at this hotel and were a little worried about the accomodations. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and I have to say we were very pleased with Oza Inn. The owners have taken an older motel type facility and made it very comfortable and it is very clean. The owners are very helpful and are very competent in managing the Inn. I would not hesitate to recommend the Oza Inn.

Convenient location with stores and restaurants within walking distance was a significant plus. The rooms were impressively clean and updated, with essential amenities like a fridge and microwave. The pool area appeared well-maintained and inviting, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Some minor issues included outdated lamp fixtures and limited food options on-site. It's a solid choice for families looking for comfort and convenience.
